WHAT IS THE BRADBURY CENTRE?
The Bradbury Centre is a purpose built centre for the over 60’s and those with special needs. The building of the Bradbury Centre was started in the autumn of 1997 and opened in June 1998 .
We are a Health and Well-being Centre covering East Sutherland, Tain, Dornoch and surrounding areas providing activities that help people maintain their physical and mental health. Although generally for the over 60s, if younger disabled people would like to participate they are made welcome.
The Bradbury Centre is well positioned in Bonar Bridge, with views across the Kyle of Sutherland. The Centre is well known within the community and has built a good reputation for the services we provide to the older community members. We are co-located with the Medical Centre and the new Migdale Hospital which makes it ideal for supporting local older people in recovery from illness or those receiving Rehabilitation and Reablement Service.
We have a large open plan lounge & dinning area, commercial standard kitchen, fully accessible bathing, laundry facility and a multi purpose room. Our gardens are well laid out with a green house and raised beds.
The Centre is available for hire when not in use.
TRANSPORT
The Centre Mini bus runs a Dial a Bus service Mondays and Fridays and two Service runs, Tuesday to Dornoch, Wednesday to Tain both routes are timetabled . Timetables are available at the Centre.
The Mini bus is also available for hire when not in use at the Centre.
