Takeaway meals
Covid19 – We have had to change the way the centre works so that we can still support our clients and also those of our communities who need help at this unusual time. We are helping with prescriptions, shopping, transport of patients also providing meals to those who are self-isolating. With the help of funding from SSE community benefit fund we have been able to provide a hot two course meal five days a week. The SSE fund has donated around £4000 and we are hopeful that other funders will help this cause. We are providing meals in Bonar Bridge, Ardgay, Lairg and surrounding areas,
About Us
WHAT IS THE BRADBURY CENTRE? The Bradbury Centre is a purpose built centre for the over 60’s and those with special needs. The building of the Bradbury Centre was started in the autumn of 1997 and opened in June 1998 . We are a Health and Well-being Centre covering East Sutherland, Tain, Dornoch and surrounding areas providing activities that help people maintain their physical and mental health. Although generally for the over 60s, if younger disabled people would like to participate they are made welcome. The Bradbury Centre is well positioned in Bonar Bridge, with views across the Kyle of Sutherland. The Centre is well known within the community
Charity Info
The Creich Croick and Kincardine District Day Care Association is a limited company with charitable status setup in 1997 for the specific purpose of providing a service to the local community. The Centre was build from funds raised locally and continues to rely on fund raising and donations. The Centre takes its name from its main benefactor, the Bradbury Foundation. The Association is supported and part funded by Highland Council for the services which the Centre provides. History
The first turf being cut at Cherry Grove the site of the new centre. Pictured are Alice Grant and Sir Allan Gilmour. How it started During 1993/94 it became apparent to Social Services that there was an urgent requirement for a purpose built Day Care Centre for the elderly in the Bonar Bridge/Ardgay area. At that time the Day Care unit was operating from the Ardgay Church Hall and although the Social Services were extremely grateful it was deemed unfit for long term use. After discussions with the local community, Age Concern, W.R.V.S , Voluntary Groups (East Sutherland)and various other statutory Bodies a Committee was

The Mini bus is also available for hire when not in use at the Centre.
